I'll admit that, so far, I'm happy with it. However, I was dissapointed to learn that it was made in China. My experience with Chinese products has not been a positive one. Poison in dog food, toothpaste, pharmaceuticals, and sheetrock are just a few examples of why I am so lerry of Chinese products. Low quality and cheap components seem to be synonymous with "Made in China". <br /> <br />I know it's unthinkable for America to build our own treadmills, but I would feel a lot more confident about my investment if it had been made in Japan or Germany. I just wanted to comment for those of you that don't know that this treadmill was rated as a "Best Buy" by Consumer Reports 02/06. The Bowflex 7 Series was given an "Excellent" rating in Quality, Exercise Range, and Ergonomics; and was rated "Very Good" for Ease of Use. (The highest marks for all fold up treadmills tested, and better than most of the nonfolding types). So, I'm thinking that for $1499 this will be as good as any of the $3000 model treadmills. Plus a free Bowflex mat, free shipping and no tax! Amazon has the best price that I've seen.
